Gail, I like the bright bars of color. If I squint, it still looks really good. It could be a row of colored pencils...I don't know. But it's a good thing when it looks good at a distance or in peripheral vision or as a thumbnail as well as when one is looking closely. I think the roughness of the nature, and the rough-looking fence, adds nicely, emphasizing the bright colors and straight lines by contrasting against those qualities.
Firstly, how many pictures are out there of skis lined up in the snow? A million! This picture made me stop and think because it's dry all around the skis and that's not 'typical' which i like. I also really appreciate the TURN that the fence takes in this picture. Did you notice that and that's why you took the picture from this particular view point? That alone adds the 3D to me and makes me wonder just how far down this rail of skis goes. Thanks! This is a fun photo I might hang in my house during the winter or summer months.
