Space/Proportion/Emphsis

Let me try this again, I mistakely posted these on the Friday One Shot Blog. I finally got enough light between the rain. I wanted the blossoms to be the emphasis.
Taken in HDR using high ISO (3200) and shutter speed because people move while taking the 3 shots (AEB 2+ 2- and straight up). The HDR process added the light. I didnt take pics of the ceremony because I was in a one hour parking zone and didnt want to get a ticket.
This is a new category called "walking on air." It has to do with illusion, proportion, space and imagination.

  1. I absolutely love the shot of the boy with the police cars. The angle and repetition of the cars make it very interesting. Plus, I think its great how the boy overlaps the cars in the background, but still appears to be fairly centered. When you said you mentioned it was a new category of "walking on air" at first I was a little confused but once I enlarged the photo I though "O ya, I see it now" which is nice cause its like a little hidden surprise. I think maybe it appears like he is floating because you can't see any of the white square on the other side of his foot and his back foot hasn't touched the ground yet. Was that intentional? Either way I really like the illusion of floating and walking at the same time. Nice Job!
