Svetlana, I keep coming back to the image of the bridge/pathway/trail with rails. It looks like it could be a modern art painting. Who is the guy who painted a guy in a bowler hat in front of a blue sky with clouds? I don't know why it is so specially nifty. I'm thinking maybe because you took it in the exact middle of the path, and maybe because all of the lines look so perfectly geometrical. You know, like they were drawn by somebody who had a lot of drafting tools and architectural blueprint skills. And then there is this classic blue sky with little fluffy clouds that have white but then dark parts underneath. That gives it an additional sense of depth, but it is nature that is doing it, and not this geometric man-made thing. The contrast/combo is really striking.
I like the dramatic lighting on the first image and how the blue lighting on the glass has enough contrast to stand out against the sky but is yet still subtle. The curve of the shadow and light at the base of the glass definitely helps show form.

ReplyDeleteIt is a great idea to use those pretty and interesting lamp posts as a way to draw our eyes into the picture.
